Quilting

So, there was this boy...lol. Funny, but true - a boy got me into this! It was his birthday, and I wanted to get him something unique, so my college roomate suggested I make him something. Well, 14 years later (and a few more boys ;D), and I'm completely in love with quilting!
I guess I developed my skills while doing "encouragement quilts" for our last church. I made quilts for the kids going to Bible College, new babies and for those who were really ill. At first, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing...I didn't even know about 1/4" seams or rotary cutting! I definitely learned (and spent!) as I went. Thankfully, a friend of mine, paid for me to have quilting lesssons!! You should have seen me when I began to realize how WRONG I'd been doing things! I'm pretty sure I laughed at myself the entire first lesson...okay, at all the lessons. lol  What got me totally hooked was when I learned how to use a long arm! There was no stopping me after that. At least I thought. Then I had 2 babies 12 months apart. That sorta put a hault to my quilting...as well as showering, speaking in complete sentences and wearing anything fashionable. HA!

December 2011 - This was a fun surprise!

Recently, I've been able to get back into the swing of things, and have several projects lined up. You know, to do in my spare time. ;D

This was a project I started in 2012. It's still not pieced here, just laid out. Finally a quilt for ME! I'm calling it "A walk to remember" Hoping to tackle it again, once I can fix my machine.

    1. Thank you, Michelle! I am very limited by my machine. I think I would be a much better at piecing & quilting if I had a better quality machine. Praying the Lord will allow me to have one next year. =D
